But it greatly exceeded my expectations. It is well organized, full of detail, and has terrific photography. The history of how roads came to be what they are adds an interesting dimension. Erik even discusses facets of road construction which I had never considered, such as lighting. Overall, what could have been a dry subject is coverered in a fascinating manner.
